![]() The game's keyboard controls (with mouse support to be added soon) can make Super Mega Worm seem even easier than the iOS version, but you can always switch to the Hard difficulty setting if it gets too easy. If you can get up enough speed-or if you can bounce off a vehicle-you can get Wojira airborne, and you pick up bonuses for eating multiple targets in quick succession. ![]() The more you eat, the longer you get, and as you evolve, you get extra powers like a wide-area EMP and enemy-crushing Meteor Slam. Ideally, you chow down on humans (who run from you screaming, occasionally with comic speech balloons like, "Please I am a nice guy"), but you can also snack on wandering cows, ostriches, and the like, or overturn a truck, police car, or tank. Your game ends when your ever-shrinking energy bar is depleted, so you have to keep eating to recharge and survive. You control your mega worm ("Wojira," in classic megamonster-movie style) as you navigate back and forth across a horizontally scrolling landscape, burrowing into the earth and then emerging to feast on eco-unfriendly humanity (pressing Z to pick up speed, or to spit acid when you're above ground). ![]() Super Mega Worm is the Mac version of the retro-looking iOS arcade game of the same name, in which you control a giant bloodthirsty worm that's out to wreak some (cartoonishly) gory eco-vengeance.
